Les discriminations dans les parcours de soins peinent à être identifiées, reconnues et sanctionnées. C’est la raison pour laquelle la Défenseure des droits rend public un rapport "Prévenir les discriminations dans les parcours de soins : un enjeu d’égalité".

Representatives of the Federal Public Defenders' Office (DPU) met on Friday, 4 April 2025, with Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago, President of COP30, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty) to discuss the institution’s participation in the conference scheduled for November. The objective is to ensure that the demands of Indigenous Peoples, Quilombola communities and Riverside Populations are prioritized in global climate negotiations, ensuring that their voices are effectively represented in international decision-making processes.

The Chancellor of Justice Tuomas Pöysti has submitted his report for 2024 to the Parliament and the Government. In 2024, a total of 1987 complaints were filed with the Chancellor of Justice while 2084 complaints were resolved. In the previous year, the Office of the Chancellor of Justice received 1668 complaints and resolved 1862. In 2024, the Chancellor of Justice continued the efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legality oversight focusing more strongly on structural oversight. A total of 43 in-house initiatives were launched by the Chancellor of Justice in 2024. 

The Fushoushan Veterans Farm, affiliated to the Veteran Affairs Council, was found to have committed violations in the handling of business waste. In addition, both Fushoushan and Wuling Veterans Farms were found to have engaged in improper pesticide use. On March 20, 2025, the Control Yuan Committee on Foreign and National Defense Affairs approved the investigation report submitted by CY members Fan Sun-Lu, Lin Wen-Cheng, and Upay Radio Kanasaw.

The Board of Directors of Ombudsman.be has appointed Federal Ombudsman David Baele as the new President of the Belgian Network of Ombudsmen. He succeeds Marc Bertrand. The network will continue to strengthen cooperation and make ombudsman services even more accessible to citizens and businesses, helping them more easily to find the right ombudsman when facing issues with public services or companies.

Ce mercredi 23 avril 2025, le Médiateur fédéral présente son rapport annuel à la Chambre des représentants. Il constate que de plus en plus de citoyens sont confrontés à des règles complexes, à des obstacles administratifs et à un manque d’empathie. Ils s’adressent alors au Médiateur fédéral qui les écoute et les guide à travers cette complexité.
