After a successful organization of awareness sessions at District headquarter, Malakand, another two sessions were organized by the Provincial Ombudsman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in district Haripur. In order to inform the locals of the area about the role and responsibilities of the Ombudsman Institution, TMA Hall Haripur and University of Haripur were selected for the purpose. This project was supported by the IOI's Regional Subsidies Programme.

The Ombudsman for Children and Adolescents in Luxembourg (OKAJU) is continuing its successful cooperation with EMN Luxembourg by co-organizing their third thematic yearly meeting on the subject of “Children in Migration” on 25 June 2026. This edition will bring together ombudspersons for children and youth, as well as child welfare agencies, around the topic of the best interests of the child in the context of the implementation of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum. To register for in person or online attendance of the event, please click here.

On June 4, 2026, Québec Ombudsperson Marc-André Dowd published the second follow-up report on the calls for action issued by the Public Inquiry Commission on relations between Indigenous Peoples and certain public services in Québec.

The Greek Ombudsman in collaboration with the Dutch counterpart institution and with the support of the Dutch Embassy in Greece, is organizing the 4th educational meeting of the Ombudsman Learning Academy, on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 June 2026 in Athens.

On May 18, 2026 the State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel Mr. Matanyahu Englman presented to the Speaker of the Knesset (Israeli parliament) Ombudsman Annual Report 52 for the year 2025. Over 30,000 complaints were received in 2025 - double the number received seven years earlier.

After the success of Session I of the International Internship Programme 2026, the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, hosted the second cohort from 11 – 15 May 2026. Ms. Sheila Caroline Sempa, Supervisor of the Complaint Management Desk at the Inspectorate of Government (IG) in Uganda, attended.
