    Adv. Tlotliso Angelina Polaki is the newly appointed Ombudsman of Lesotho, effective 6 June 2022. Adv. Tlotliso Polaki graduated from the National University of Lesotho and was appointed and served as a magistrate, at the Maseru Magistrate Court for a number of years. In June 2022, Adv. Tlotliso Polaki was appointed as the Ombudsman of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

    Ontario Ombudsman publishes Annual Report 2021-2022

    Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dubé on August 10, 2022 reported that public concerns and complaints to the provincial watchdog have returned almost to pre-pandemic levels. His office fielded 25,161 complaints and inquiries in fiscal 2021-2022, an increase of 25% over the previous year. Most (52%) were resolved in two weeks or less.

    NSW Ombudsman finds public housing failures in meeting the needs of tenants with disability

    In a report tabled in Parliament today the NSW Ombudsman, Paul Miller, has called for significant improvements to be made to the delivery of public housing disability modifications.The report "Modifying public housing properties to meet the needs of tenants with disability – issues identified through complaints" tells the story of 3 public housing tenants who requested reasonable disability modifications to make their homes safe for them.

    This "Fairness by Design" guide is an assessment tool that can be used by public organizations across Canada to ensure they have fair decision-making processes and are fair in the design and delivery of their programs. The guide was developed by the Canadian Council of Parliamentary Ombudsman (CCPO).
