A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Office of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh and Helping Hand for Relief and Development on 18th September, 2025 at the Ombudsman’s Headquarters in Karachi.

El Defensor del Pueblo de la provincia de Santa Fe, Arístides Lasarte, juró el viernes, el 12 de septiembre de 2025, fidelidad y cumplimiento a la nueva Constitución provincial, reformada y sancionada el 10 de septiembre. Más allá de la importancia institucional para toda la provincia, se trató de un momento trascendental para la Defensoría del Pueblo, ya que el texto reformado de la Carta Magna incluye al organismo, 35 años después de su creación por ley.

La Defensoría del Pueblo de Panamá aprobó el Protocolo para prevenir, identificar, atender y sancionar la discriminación, la violencia contra las mujeres, el acoso sexual y laboral en la entidad, mediante la Resolución N° DDP-DAJ-56-2025, la cual entró en vigor inmediatamente tras su aprobación. El objetivo es establecer mecanismos efectivos para prevenir y enfrentar situaciones de violencia o discriminación dentro de la institución, en concordancia con el mandato constitucional de la Defensoría.

The Control Yuan hosted the 37th Australasian Pacific Ombudsman Region (APOR) Conference from September 3 to 5, 2025, with the three-day event successfully encompassing the APOR Members’ Meeting, an international seminar on human rights, and culture tours.

From 27 - 31 October 2025, the Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman will host its annual Complaint Handling Forum. The 5-part virtual forum will feature speakers from a variety of backgrounds, including an Ombudsman panel discussion featuring the Commonwealth Ombudsman, Iain Anderson, Tax Ombudsman, Ruth Owen and Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, Cynthia Gebert.

The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, in collaboration with the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Multan, organized an awareness seminar to apprise women professionals and entrepreneurs of the free, impartial, and accessible services provided by the institution. 

On 9 September 2025, Alberta Ombudsman Kevin Brezinski released the 2024-2025 Annual Report, which outlines the achievements of his office in investigating complaints of administrative unfairness in Alberta’s public agencies. Highlights of the report include a record number of written complaints received by the Ombudsman’s office and updates on notable public reports about programs that provide much-needed support to Albertans.
