Publications

The I.O.I. Newsletter for members is published four times per year and is available in English, French and Spanish. In addition the weekly 'Ombudsman News' inform on new publications, upcoming conferences and other relevant developments in the Ombudsman world.

The I.O.I provides a directory that includes the key data of all I.O.I. member institutions. In addition to the download in this publications section an online directory is also available when accessing the regional or country information on this website.

The IOI publishes its Annual Report every year, to inform about about membership matters as well as about I.O.I. projects in the past and in the future. The Report is released in the three official languages of the IOI (English, French, Spanish).

The IOI World Conference in June 2009 convened 340 delegates and observers from more than 90 countries. Key note addresses were delivered by the former Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr Kofi A. Annan and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms Navanethem Pillay. The papers are available online.

The International Ombudsman Institute's Occasional Paper Series were published frequently between 1979 and 2008. For further information on specific issues please contact the General Secretariat in Vienna (ioi@volksanw.gv.at).
