The International Ombudsman Institute is organised in six regional chapters. For more information on the IOI's African Region please read here.

 

Board of Directors:

The Board of the African Region consists of three Directors. One of the three Directors will be elected as Regional President of the African Region. The present Board of the African Region was elected by the Voting members of the Region at the 10th IOI World Conference held in Wellington, New Zealand in November 2012 and consists of:

Regional By-laws:

In accordance with Article 22.3 (a) of the IOI's By-laws, each region shall adopt a set of rules to guide its operations (the regional by-laws). The African Region adopted its regional by-laws in November 2016.

Asia

The International Ombudsman Institute is organised in six regional chapters. For more information on the IOI's Asian Region please read here.

 

Board of Directors:

The Board of the Asian Region consists of three Directors. One of the three Directors will be elected as Regional President of the Asian Region. The present Board of the Asian Region was elected by all Voting members from the Asian Region during an electronic ballot conducted in February / March 2013 and consists of:

Regional By-laws:

In accordance with Article 22.3 (a) of the IOI's By-laws, each region shall adopt a set of rules to guide its operations (the regional by-laws). The Asian Region, has not yet provided the IOI General Secretariat with its regional by-laws.

Australasia & Pacific

The Board of the Australasian and Pacific Region (APOR) consists of three Directors. One of the three Directors will be elected as Regional President of the APOR Region. The present Board of the APOR Region was elected by the Voting members of the region at the 10th IOI World Conference held in Wellington, New Zealand in November 2012 and consists of:

Caribbean & Latin America

The Board of the Caribbean & Latin American Region consists of three Directors. One of the three Directors will be elected as Regional President of the Caribbean & Latin American Region. The present Board of the Caribbean & Latin American Region was elected by the Voting members of the region at the 10th IOI World Conference held in Wellington, New Zealand in November 2012 and consists of:

Regional By-laws:

In accordance with Article 22.3 (a) of the IOI's By-laws, each region shall adopt a set of rules to guide its operations (the regional by-laws). The Caribbean & Latin American Region transmitted its regional by-laws to the IOI General Secretariat in October 2015.

Europe

The International Ombudsman Institute is organised in six regional chapters. For more information on the IOI's European Region please read here.

 

Board of Directors:

The Board of the European Region consists of seven Directors on a regional level (European level). From among these seven Directors five will be elected to represent the European Region on the IOI Board of Directors (world level). One of the five Directors on the IOI Board of Directors will be elected as Regional President and one as Regional Vice-President.

In accordance with Article 22.3 (a) of the IOI's By-laws, each region shall adopt a set of rules to guide its operations (the regional by-laws). The European Region adopted its regional by-laws at the General Assembly held in Tallinn on 17 September 2014.

North America

The Board of the North American Region consists of three Directors. One of the three Directors will be elected as Regional President of the North American Region. The present Board of the North American Region was elected by the Voting members of the region on the sidelines of the USOA Meeting held in October 2012 and consits of:
