The Ombudsman started visits of facilities for seniors and revealed that three quarters of regional facilities for seniors write on their websites that they will not admit persons treated for a mental disease.

Hungarian Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, Professor Máté Szabó, delivered a speech on the Hungarian ombudsman system at the Control Yuan plenary meeting. To learn more about Control Yuan, Dr. Szabó furthermore exchanged ideas with members of Control Yuan.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of a workshop organized by the Ombudsman Bureau in cooperation with the World Bank on “Enhancing the Cooperation Framework and Coordination with the Public Administration,” Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour stressed the important role of the Ombudsman Bureau in entrenching the values of integrity, transparency, justice and equality.
