Last week the Senate has elected Mr Luis Raúl González Pérez as the new President of the Mexican National Human Rights Commission (Comisión Nacional de Derechos Humanos, CNDH). Mr Gonzales succeeds Dr. Raul Plascencia Villanueva, whose term ended.
