The Office of the Ombudsman of Hong Kong, China will host the inaugural International Ombudsman Summit 2024 on 3 December 2024 (Tuesday) at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, West Kowloon Cultural District. This significant event also marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Office, with an Anniversary Reception planned for the evening to celebrate this important milestone. The Parliamentary Ombudsman, Judge Emeritus Joseph Zammit McKeon, held an informative session with final-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Journalism students of the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST). This engagement forms part of the students' hands-on learning experience, allowing them to gain deeper insights into the roles and functions of key institutions.

Dr. Ákos Kozma, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, inaugurated a mobile educational point on 20 November, 2024, at ÁGOTA Village to celebrate World Children's Day. The initiative marks the anniversary of the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, a cornerstone of international legal protection.

The International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) presents its Annual Report for the membership year 2023/2024. The report gives account of the main projects, developments and achievements made in the past membership year and it is now available in all three languages of the IOI.
