En Argentina, la población privada de libertad y la cantidad de familiares de presos y presas viene aumentando año tras año. Más allá de la prisión: Paternidades, maternidades e infancias atravesadas por el encierro es una investigación realizada por la Procuración Penitenciaria de la Nación (PPN) con la colaboración de la Asociación Civil de Familiares de Detenidos (ACIFAD), la oficina Regional para América Latina y el Caribe de Church World Service (CWS) y con el apoyo técnico y financiero de UNICEF.

The Danish Parliament, Folketinget, has elected Dr. jur. Niels Fenger as new Parliamentary Ombudsman. He will succeed Mr. Jørgen Steen Sørensen who has taken up an appointment as a Justice of the Danish Supreme Court.

BC Ombudsperson able to investigate whistleblower allegations under new law
Since 1 December 2019 British Colombia, Canada, has a new law that gives current and former provincial government employees a way to bring forward concerns about wrongdoing in workplace. The Public Interest Disclosure Act gives the Ombudsperson a new statutory mandate to conduct whistleblowing investigations if employees do not wish to report those concerns internally to their employer.
