Après avoir remis officiellement les rapports annuels 2021 et 2022 aux Présidents des Parlements le 24 janvier dernier, il est de tradition que ces rapports soient examinés par les différentes commissions parlementaires. Ce lundi 11 mars, le Médiateur de la Wallonie et de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Marc Bertrand, a entamé ce parcours par la commission de la Fonction publique, du Tourisme et du Patrimoine.

Falta de personal y de reactivos complican atención oportuna a pacientes con dengue en hospital de Huarmey
La oficina de la Defensoría del Pueblo en Áncash demandó la intervención inmediata de la Dirección Regional de Salud (Diresa) ante la grave situación de falta de personal y de insumos por la que viene atravesando el Hospital de Apoyo de Huarmey, lo que impide atender de manera eficiente la gran cantidad de pacientes contagiados por dengue que ingresan semanalmente a dicho nosocomio.

Ombuds Institutions of Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands Meet in Brussels
On 22 and 23 September 2025, the ombuds institutions of the Benelux countries gathered in Brussels for their annual meeting to discuss key regional issues. During the meeting, the group welcomed two new ombudsmen: Claudine Konsbruck, the Ombudsman of Luxembourg, and Nicolas Lagasse, the new Médiateur de la Wallonie et de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Public Defender calls on a public school to avoid gender-based discrimination
On 28 February 2024, the Public Defender addressed the director of one of the public schools of the Khelvachauri municipality with a general proposal relating to the case of incitement to discrimination on the basis of sex/gender and called on him to not allow discriminatory treatment on the basis of sex or other grounds at school and to implement a policy of equality, and in relation to the school uniform, to ensure students' freedom of choice.

El 1 de marzo de 2024 tenía lugar el acto de celebración del 5.º aniversario del Pacto contra la segregación escolar, que impulsaron en 2019 la institución del Síndic de Greuges de Catalunya y el Departamento de Educación, con la voluntad de promover políticas de lucha contra ese fenómeno.
