On 17 March 2015 a successful Webinar co-sponsored by the Open Government Partnership (OGP), the World Bank Governance Global Practice (GGP) and the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) was held.

Manitoba Ombudsman has posted 17 new investigation reports under The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and The Personal Health Information Act on its website.

This month the Scottish Ombudsman Jim Martin is laying four reports before the Scottish Parliament – three about the NHS and one about Scottish Water. He is laying a report on 61 decisions about all of the sectors under his remit.

Ombudsman Becerril presented the institution’s Annual Report for 2014. The Office received 23,186 and made 467 recommendations, 72% of which were accepted by the public administration.

The former minister and honorary mediator of Ivory Coast Mathieu Vangah Ekra passed away in Abidjan at the end of February 2015.

A woman in her 90s suffered serious bruising to her face just before she died after falling in hospital, a Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman investigation found. The vulnerable lady was admitted to hospital with a chest infection and suffered severe bruising to her face when she fell out of bed, when an agency health care assistant was changing her bedding.
