Le 1er février 2024, Ombudsman.be, le réseau belge des Ombudsmans, a tenu son assemblée générale dans les locaux de la Chambre des Représentants. Le réseau regroupe aujourd'hui 30 institutions de médiateurs et ombudsmans institutionnels ( Etat, Régions, communes, … ) et sectoriels ( assurances, secteur postal, énergie, … ).

El Defensor del Pueblo Eduardo Leblanc González y representantes de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) sostuvieron una reunión para establecer la hoja de ruta del proyecto conjunto: Fortalecimiento de capacidades para la gestión de políticas migratorias en Panamá bajo un enfoque de Derechos Humanos para atender la población migrante y garantizar que no se vulneren sus derechos.
