A learning initiative to help Ombudsman officers across Europe deliver quality services to the citizen was launched on 16 January 2024 in Manchester, UK. The Learning Academy of the European Chapter of the International Ombudsman Institute will serve as a specialized forum and training center where Ombudsmen and their officers will exchange ideas and practices, and develop new skills and modes of cooperation.

Le Protecteur du citoyen a reçu plusieurs signalements concernant la sécurité et la qualité des soins offerts à l’urgence de l’Hôpital général du Lakeshore. Ils rapportaient notamment une utilisation exagérée de la contention des usagers, ainsi que des écarts au protocole en vigueur encadrant le recours à la contention.

Este Organismo Protector de Derechos Humanos observa con preocupación que tan solo en los primeros 15 días del 2024 se han registrado al menos 4 asesinatos de mujeres trans en el país. Lo anterior evidencia la intensificación de la violencia hacia las mujeres en razón de identidad de género, pues fueron víctimas de la más grave expresión de odio contra ellas: el transfeminicidio.
