The Flemish Ombudsman Service has been promoting the theme of digital inclusion for years. Digital inclusion means that everyone can participate in the digital society, regardless of age, income, or educational level. Yet recent figures show that 40% of the population is digitally vulnerable. This creates problems for some people when applying for grants, accessing information, and exercising their rights. On Monday, 1 December 2025, Myriam Parys, Flemish Ombudsman, provided insights into these challenges on the Flemish radio program WinWin.

El objetivo de la cumbre es establecer unas nuevas bases para gestionar eficazmente el problema del sinhogarismo y los asentamientos urbanos. La institución ha constatado un crecimiento significativo de personas en situación de extrema vulnerabilidad que viven en la calle, así como la preocupación de los vecinos por el deterioro del espacio público. Ombudsman finds maladministration in how Commission prepared urgent legislative proposals
European Ombudswoman Teresa Anjinho has found a number of procedural shortcomings in how the European Commission prepared several legislative proposals that it considered urgent. Taken together the shortcomings amounted to maladministration. The findings are based on three separate complaint-based inquiries that examined the extent to which the Commission applied the standard policy-making rules and procedures when preparing legislative drafts concerning corporate sustainability due diligence (Omnibus I), the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), and countering migrant smuggling.
