Newly appointed Ombudsman
The Office of the Ombudsman, Botswana is delighted to introduce, the newly appointed Ombudsman, Mrs. Festina Shale Bakwena, the former Director of Public Service Management. Mrs. Bakwena’s appointment will go down in the history of this country as a landmark, in view of the fact that she is the first woman to ever ascend to this highest position in the country since the inception of the Office in 1997.

El Síndic presenta el informe anual sobre los derechos de los niños al Parlamento
El 25 de noviembre, el Síndic, Rafael Ribó, entregó en el Parlamento el informe anual sobre los derechos de los niños. El informe contiene los aspectos destacados de la actuación del Síndic en defensa de los derechos de los niños. Durante la presentación, el Síndic ha exigido más recursos presupuestarios para poder llevar a cabo las inversiones estructurales necesarias en el ámbito de la infancia.

The FRA Annual Report 2011 provides in-depth evidence and analysis of fundamental rights developments in the EU, its Member States and Croatia. It points out achievements, such as national reforms in child protection systems and efforts to shorten the length of court proceedings as well as EU legislative and policy measures in, for example, the areas of victim protection, human trafficking and Roma integration.

Il met en évidence ce qui a été réalisé, telles que les réformes nationales en matière de systèmes de protection des mineurs et les efforts de réduction de la durée des procédures judiciaires, ainsi que les mesures législatives et politiques de l’UE dans les domaines de la protection des victimes, de la traite des êtres humains et de l’intégration des Roms notamment.
