En ce 23 juin 2025, l’Association des Ombudsmans et Médiateurs de la Francophonie (AOMF) souligne la Journée mondiale des lanceurs d’alerte. Pour cette occasion, l’AOMF attire l’attention sur l’importance de valoriser le rôle des personnes qui, dans l’intérêt public, lancent des alertes et contribuent de la sorte à promouvoir les valeurs d’intégrité, de transparence et de bonne gouvernance. Ces individus occupent une place centrale dans la lutte contre les atteintes à l’intégrité des services publics et la corruption.

National Ombudsman releases Annual report 2024: Put Citizens First
A government that truly serves its citizens makes plans that are realistic and feasible. Cabinet plans should never lead to unrealistic or unlawful plans for which others would get the blame if and when things go wrong. Parliamentary Ombudsman holds Thematic Lecture on Transparency, Fairness and Accountability as cornerstones of good administration
On 12 June 2025, the Office of the Ombudsman in Malta officially launched its 30th Anniversary commemorations with a Thematic Lecture held at the Plenary Hall of the House of Representatives. Entitled “Transparency, Fairness, Accountability: Cornerstones of Good Administration – The Mandate of the Ombudsman,” the lecture brought together Members of Parliament, senior public officials, civil servants, academics, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders for a timely reflection on the essential values that underpin good governance and public administration.

Italian Ombudsman Institutions Increasingly Recognized as a European Point of Reference
On the occasion of the meeting of the National Coordination of Italian Regional Ombudspersons, held in Alghero on 20–21 June 2025, two distinguished international guests took part in the proceedings: Xavier Cañada Bonaetxea, Raonador del Ciutadà of Andorra, and Javier Hernández Garcia, former Lugarteniente of the Justicia de Aragón. Their active participation confirmed the growing centrality of the Italian Ombudsman system in the European context, particularly in matters relating to fundamental rights, access to public administration, institutional mediation, and the protection of vulnerable individuals.

L'Ombudsman de l’Ontario publie son Rapport annuel
Dans son dixième rapport annuel publié le 25 juin 2025, l’Ombudsman de l’Ontario Paul Dubé fait état d’un nombre de plaintes record et quasi record dans plusieurs de ses domaines de compétence, y compris ceux axés sur les droits des enfants vulnérables, des personnes en situation de handicap, des détenu(e)s et des Ontarien(ne)s voulant obtenir des services en français.
