The report covers all segments of life that directly or indirectly affect the rights of citizens, and it is also a reflection of their perception of how the administration functioned in the previous year through the number of submitted complaints. There is no better benchmark for the (non) functioning of the institutions than the complaints of the citizens who are trying every day to exercise their rights as guaranteed by the Constitution and the law.

Defensoría evidencia vulneración de Derechos Humanos en protestas
Tras la labor de observancia realizada por Oficiales de Derechos Humanos de la Defensoría del Pueblo de manera presencial en las protestas, manifestaciones y cierres en los meses de octubre y noviembre la Institución concluyó que hubo vulneración de los derechos humanos a la seguridad física y personal, a la educación, salud, alimentación, libre tránsito, libertad, ambiente sano, sindicalización, libertad de prensa, expresión, opinión, derecho a manifestarse y a la consulta ciudadana.
