The CCAC co-organized Integrity Week with two Secondary Schools
In order to further promote integrity awareness among secondary students and foster teenagers’ honesty and righteousness, the Commission against Corruption of Macao (CCAC) co-organized the “Integrity Week” with two Secondary Schools in March. In addition, this year the CCAC launched a seminar entitled “A Talk on Integrity for Secondary School Graduates” to provide practical guidelines on integrity for secondary school graduates.

Panel de alto nivel de las Naciones Unidas sobre la importancia de cumplir los Principios de Venecia relativos a las instituciones de Ombudsman
El 18 de mayo de 2026, la Presidenta de la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, la Sra. Annalena Baerbock, convocó un panel de alto nivel en la sede de la ONU en Nueva York sobre la importancia de que las instituciones de Ombudsman cumplan con los Principios de Venecia, de conformidad con la resolución 79/177 de la Asamblea General. El panel de debate contó con la participación de la Sra. Nadine Mailloux, Presidenta del IIO y Ombudsman de Montreal; la Sra. High-level panel on the importance of Ombudsman institutions’ compliance with the Venice Principles
On 18 May 2026, the President of the UN General Assembly, Ms Annalena Baerbock, convened a high-level panel at the UN Headquarters in New York on the importance of Ombudsman institution’s compliance with the Venice Principles in accordance with General Assembly resolution 79/177. The panel discussion featured Ms. Nadine Mailloux, IOI President and Ombudsman of Montreal, Ms. Angie Cruickshank Lambert, Ombudswoman of the Republic of Costa Rica, and Mr. Rafael Bustos Gisbert, Spanish Member of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe. Table ronde de haut niveau sur l'importance du respect des Principes de Venise par les institutions d’ombudsman
Le 18 mai 2026, la Présidente de l’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies, Mme Annalena Baerbock, a organisé une table ronde de haut niveau au siège des Nations Unies à New York sur l’importance du respect des Principes de Venise par les institutions d’ombudsman, conformément à la résolution 79/177 de l’Assemblée générale. La table ronde a réuni Mme Nadine Mailloux, présidente de l’IIO et ombudsman de Montréal, Mme Angie Cruickshank Lambert, médiatrice de la République du Costa Rica, et M. Ombudsman to be designated as OPCAT NPM
On 14 April 2011, the National Assembly of Bulgaria passed the law on the ratification of OPCAT. The law should be promulgated and enter into force. Agreement has been reached that the Ombudsman be designated as NPM.

Inspection visit to the Ravila Care Home
On 24 March the adviser of the Chancellor of Justice performed an unannounced visit to the Ravila Care Home. It was a follow-up inspection to check the fulfillment of recommendation made after the inspection visit of 19 August of 2009.
