The office of Provincial Ombudsman Sindh and HANDS Welfare Foundation have formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Ombudsman’s Headquarters, aimed at enhancing citizens’ access to free and fair justice.
The Director General Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Naseemuddin Mirani, and HANDS CEO, Maqbool Ahmed, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
Under this agreement, a joint action plan will be developed to strengthen public service delivery and ensure efficient, transparent, and citizen-focused grievance redressal across Sindh.
During the briefing, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Mohammad Sohail Rajput, informed the HANDS delegation about the mandate of the Ombudsman’s institution. He emphasized that addressing public grievances related to government departments remains its main responsibility. He further announced the launch of a modern Complaint Management System next month, designed to improve efficiency and accelerate the resolution of public complaints. He added that the upgraded system would serve as a significant milestone in delivering timely relief to citizens.
HANDS Chairman, Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed, also presented an overview of the organization’s development initiatives. He commended the effective leadership of Muhammad Sohail Rajput and his proactive role in resolving public grievances. He also said that this collaboration will help advance good governance, strengthen institutional accountability, and promote citizen welfare in the province.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary Mansoor Abbas Rizvi, Registrar Masood Ishrat, Advisor Rehana G. Ali Memon, Director Coordination Imdad Hussain Siddiqui, Consultant IT Akmal Naseem, and HANDS’s Chief Executive Services Mohammad Anis.
