IRELAND | Ombudsman made opening address to Integrity at Work Conference 2022

Ombudsman Ger Deering made the opening address to the Integrity at Work Conference 2022. At the conference, the Ombudsman said: “It is essential that employers build a culture in their organisations, that is supportive of workers who speak up to call out wrongdoing”.

The Integrity at Work (IAW) Conference is a national event dedicated to exploring how employers across all sectors can foster a culture of integrity within Irish workplaces.

As the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022 is enacted in Ireland, and the EU Whistleblowing Directive is transposed into member States’ law, employers and regulators need to prepare for the changes that are coming into place.
