HUNGARY | Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary attends NEIWA plenary meeting

The inaugural meeting of NEIWA took place on 24 May 2019 in the Hague, at the initiative of the Dutch Whistleblowers Authority. The organisation aims to deepen communication and cooperation between the organisations of the member states of the European Union that protect whistleblowers, to exchange experience, as well as to elaborate joint programmes and policy statements.

The Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights joined the umbrella organisation of national agencies protecting whistleblowers as early as in 2019, right after the establishment of the network.
