The members of the Austrian Ombudsman Board (AOB) presented the annual report 2011 containing key data on the AOB's activities.

Several representatives of IOI member institutions will participate in the 2^nd Curaçao International Ombudsman Conference held from 4 to 8 June 2012 in Curaçao. It is organized by the Office of the Ombudsman of Curaçao and the Caribbean International University in cooperation with the Institute of Latin-American Ombudsman and the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Argentina, Province Santa Fé.

Following two IOI editions of the successful “Sharpening Your Teeth” training programme, the IOI is organizing a new training session which will take place from 16 to 19 September 2012 in Vienna, Austria. Course registration is still being accepted.

The Office of Citizen’s Aide/Ombudsman has published its annual report on 2011 containing statistical data regarding the 4,684 opened cases within this period, as well as information on special topics like ‘open-meetings’ and the redesign of Iowa’s mental health service system.
