On 25 April 2013, Augustinas Normantas was appointed to the position of the head of the Seimas Ombudsmen‘s Office of the Republic of Lithuania. On the same day, Raimondas Šukys swore an oath in the Parliament and was appointed as Seimas Ombudsman.

Proprietors of areas which were put under nature conservation complain that no expropriation or compensation was given to them. The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights proposes that the Minister of Rural Development reviews the legislation.

The authors are Richard Simmons, Co-Director of the Mutuality Research Programme at the University of Stirling and Carol Brennan, Director of the Consumer Insight Centre at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

Catalan Ombudsman Rafael Ribó presented the OPCAT 2012 Annual Report before the Parliamentary Ombudsman Commission to inform Parliament about the achievements and measures taken in 2012.
