The Federal Ombudsman conducted an investigation on the functioning of the Immigration Office 9ter Division which deals with applications for residence on medical grounds. That investigation report has now been presented to Parliament.

The Office of the Hong Kong Ombudsman celebrated the 15th anniversary of becoming an independent statutory body at its press conference on 19 December 2016. At the same press conference, Hong Kong Ombudsman Connie Lau also announced the results of three investigation reports.
