La Red de Comunicadores de la FIO que es conocida como ComFIO, renovó sus autoridades para el bienio 2023-2025 en la reciente Asamblea y Congreso de la FIO que se realizó -con modalidad mixta, es decir tanto on line como presencial- en la ciudad de Barranquilla, Colombia.

El Instituto Latinoamericano del Ombudsman-Defensorías del Pueblo (ILO) celebra esta XIV Asamblea y Seminario en el marco de su 40° Aniversario. El evento tendrá lugar del 1 al 3 de noviembre de 2023 en México. El programa ya está disponible.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified individuals who wish to be considered for the role of the next Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Monday, 26 November 2023.

On Thursday, 5 October 2023, the Ombudsman of the Republic of Malawi Grace Tikambenji Malera took oath of office as Commissioner for the Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC). Honorable Malera together with eight others were hosted to a swearing in ceremony by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera at the Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe. The swearing-in ceremony follows their appointment by the President three weeks earlier.
