On Friday, 20 March 2026, the Ombudsman of Curaçao, in collaboration with the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI), will organize a webinar in the context of World Water Day (22 March).
In this webinar, the Ombudsman of Curaçao brings together representatives of ombudsman institutions from different IOI-regions and also gives attention to the citizen’s perspective, as articulated by the Curaçao civil society.
Under the theme “The Role of the Ombudsman in Realizing the Right to Safe and Clean Drinking Water”, the discussion will explore how ombudsman institutions can contribute to the protection and realization of the human right to safe and clean drinking water. The webinar contributes to the United Nations Development Goal nr. 6, which aims to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water for all.
