Australia | Victorian Ombudsman presents video of 2018 investigation reports

This year, Victorian Ombudsman Deborah Glass prepared a video of the “2018 year in review” presenting the nine investigation reports tabled by the Victorian Ombudsman throughout the year.

These reports examined human rights abuse, misconduct by public officials, how authorities dealt with child sex abuse historically, local council matters, and more.

The video with an overview of the nine investigations tabled by the Ombudsman in Parliament can be found ONLINE.

The Victorian Ombudsman investigates complaints about administrative actions and decisions taken by government departments and agencies, as well as the conduct or behaviour of their staff. The Ombudsman reviews the lawfulness of agencies' actions or decisions, as well as the reasonableness and fairness of these actions. The Ombudsman is independent and impartial and provides a free service.
