UK | Second annual open meeting of the UK’s Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman

Last year the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman hosted its first annual open meeting for users of its service which provided a platform to hear about and feedback on the work of the Ombudsman.

The second annual open meeting will take place on 22 May 2018 in London presenting a further opportunity to hear about its work and future plans. Participants will be able to put questions to the Ombudsman, Rob Behrens CBE and a panel of invited guests.

Guest speakers announced include James Titcombe OBE, a patient safety campaigner and father of Joshua, who died nine days after being born at Furness General Hospital in 2008, and Angela MacDonald CBE, Director General Customer Services at HM Revenue & Customs and the government’s complaint handling champion.

There will be a chance to explore how to improve complaint handling through optional breakout sessions on good practice and early and alternative dispute resolution.

More information on the topics covered through the day and how to book a place on this free event are available on the Ombudsman's website.
