IOI/CARIBBEAN | Anti-Corruption training in Curaçao

Following the very successful anti-corruption training programme conducted by the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) in 2013, the IOI is pleased to inform you that a second and updated edition of the IOI’s anti-corruption training programme will be held in Willemstad, Curaçao from 27 – 28 May 2015 during the 8th Biennial Conference of Caribbean Ombudsman Association (CAROA).

This high-profile training event is directed towards investigative staff of ombudsman institutions with an anti-corruption mandate. Participants will benefit from sharing best practices with their international co-participants as well as the lecturers in order to promote transparency, accountability and good governance in the public administration on a regional, national and international level.

The Anti-Corruption training course will be hosted by the Office of the Ombudsman of Curaçao and the IOI is delighted to inform you that this high-profile training course will be offered to member institutions in good standing free of charge; travel and accommodation costs must be borne by the participants.

The IOI will also be able to fund scholarships for member institutions with limited resources. The deadline for scholarship applications is 10 April 2015. For any questions regarding scholarship applications, please contact the IOI General Secretariat.

If you have questions on organisational matters or wish to register for the training course, please see the information attached below or contact the Office of the Ombudsman of Curaçao (Mr Rick Trenidad or Mr Raymond Mathilda).

The IOI is looking forward to an active participation from the Caribbean Region and wishes all participants an interesting and successful training session and an enjoyable stay in Curaçao!
