AUSTRALIA | 40 Years of the Commonwealth Ombudsman

The Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman is celebrating its 40th anniversary. For forty years, the office has provided assurance, integrity, influence and improvement for government, industry and the public.

To acknowledge this important milestone, the Commonwealth Ombudsman is hosting a dinner at the National Museum of Australia on 4 April 2017. With its amazing architecture and wonderful location beside breathtaking Lake Burley Griffin, the National Museum’s lakeside and city views will provide the perfect venue. Just as the National Museum brings to life rich and diverse Australian stories, the Commonwealth Ombudsman will reflect on the steep history of its office. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with some of Australia’s top government leaders.

The following day, on 5 April 2017, a full one-day conference at the magnificently designed Old Parliament House – a national icon - will take place. With history echoing through the corridors, Old Parliament House provides an appropriate backdrop to discuss the Commonwealth Ombudsman’s past achievements and future opportunities.

Early bird tickets for the 40th anniversary of the Commonwealth Ombudsman conference and/or dinner has been extended until 6:00 pm, Friday 3 March 2017.

A program for the conference can be found on the event registration page
