Amerdeep Somal has now been confirmed as England’s new Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Amerdeep will take up the post on 1 February 2024.

The Annual Report 2022/2023 of the activities of the Chancellor of Justice of Estonia is now available in English. Covering the period from 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2023, the Annual Report encompasses a broad spectrum of topics. It sheds light on the Chancellor's diverse tasks, including serving as the National Human Rights Institution, Ombudsman for Children, National Preventive Mechanism against ill-treatment, and the supervisor of obligations outlined in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. 

The Office of the Ombudsman in Malawi has directed the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi to pay Former First Lady an amount of money equivalent to 948.2 electricity units for incorrect tariffs charged on electricity at her home in Balaka district.
