Investigación sobre los perros callejeros, ayuda a prevenir el acceso de los animales a las carreteras nacionales
Las problemáticas que generan los perros callejeros con relación a la salubridad del ambiente y al tráfico constituyen una amenaza a la vida, la salud y la seguridad económica de las personas. En 2010 el Yuan de Control (YC) inició una investigación con el fin de garantizar la seguridad en el transporte y proteger la vida de los animales.

The Portuguese Ombudsman, Maria Lúcia Amaral, concluded the proceedings for compensation to the relatives and heirs of the five mortal victims of the collapse of the Municipal Road 255, which took place on November 19, 2018, in the borough of Borba, Portugal.

Québec Ombudsman investigates major violations in the handling of a disclosure
On June 13, 2019, the Québec Ombudsman released a special report on the numerous violations by the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation (MAPAQ) in applying the Act to facilitate the disclosure of wrongdoings relating to public bodies. It dealt with deficiencies concerning the internal process for handling disclosures.

Enquête spéciale du Protecteur du citoyen du Québec : des manquements majeurs dans le traitement d’une divulgation
Dans un rapport rendu public le 13 juin 2019, le Protecteur du citoyen du Québec fait état de nombreux manquements de la part du ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation (MAPAQ) dans l’application de la Loi facilitant la divulgation d’actes répréhensibles à l’égard des organismes publics. Les manquements portent sur le processus interne de traitement des divulgations.

Examen de la France par les Nations Unies sur le respect des droits de l’enfant
Les 9 et 10 mai, l’État français a été auditionné par le Comité des droits de l’enfant des Nations Unies dans le cadre du 6e examen de la France sur l’effectivité de la Convention internationale des droits de l’enfant (CIDE). En France, le Défenseur des droits est l'organisation reconnue par le Comité pour veiller au respect des droits de l’enfant. Dans le cadre du 6e examen périodique de la France, actuellement en cours, le Défenseur des droits est intervenu pour apporter son expertise aux différentes étapes clés de la procédure.

Conferencia de prensa sobre la situación actual de las cárceles federales
Con la finalidad de informar acerca del trabajo institucional que se halla plasmado en el último Informe Anual 2018, el cual se presenta anualmente al poder legislativo nacional, el titular de la Procuración Penitenciaria analizó la situación actual de las cárceles federales. En cumplimiento de la ley 25.875, Francisco Mugnolo, aseguró que se recibió un total de 51.989 demandas de la población reclusa durante el año pasado.

Présentation de la restitution des travaux d’audit du système intégré de gestion des réclamations
Le Médiateur de la République, le magistrat Joseph H. Gnonlonfoun est toujours préoccupé par rapport à la gestion des recours citoyens. A cet effet, il a demandé un audit de la base des données du Système intégré de gestion des réclamations (SIGR). La séance de restitution des travaux de cet audit a eu lieu le mercredi 29 mai 2019 au siège de l’Institution à Porto-Novo.

Réunion de coordination de la Commission Nationale Anti-Corruption au sein du Ministère de l’Intérieur
L’Institution du Médiateur du Royaume a pris part le 28 mai 2019 à Rabat, au siège du Ministère de l’Intérieur, à une réunion de coordination organisée par la Commission Nationale Anti-Corruption (CNAC) pour entrevoir les axes et projets prioritaires d’un des dix programmes relatifs à la Stratégie Nationale de Lutte contre la Corruption à savoir, celui relatif à : « l’amélioration du service au citoyen » pour l’année 2019.

La Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos (CNDH) presentó su Informe Anual de Labores 2018 ante el Poder Ejecutivo Federal. El Presidente de la CNDH afirmó que 2018 fue un año crítico para los derechos humanos, donde las quejas referidas a salud, así como a las cuestiones relativas a la seguridad y justicia, fueron las áreas donde las personas acusaron mayores afectaciones a sus derechos.

Council of Europe publishes Antirumours Handbook
This handbook is a practice-oriented sequel of the “Cities Free of Rumours” Guide published in 2015 by the Council of Europe. The lessons learned in recent years coupled with the growth in the number of cities that have joined the ARS and the interest it has generated since then, call for an update and further systematization of the antirumours approach and methodology. The handbook also provides practical examples to help and inspire cities and other stakeholders interested in learning more about this initiative and how to put it into practice.
