Miembros del Yuan de Control realizaron una visita al distrito de Penghu del 11 al 12 de mayo de 2023 para llevar a cabo una inspección anual. A lo largo de esta, dichos miembros se preocuparon por temas como la asignación de recursos educativos en las escuelas de las islas periféricas, la preservación y el mantenimiento de los bienes y paisajes culturales, por citar algunas.

The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, on 29 May 2025 announced the launch of a direct investigation operation to examine the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s management of countryside ancillary tourist facilities to align with its efforts to develop green tourism and the pursuit of the ideas of “tourism is everywhere” and “sightseeing all over Hong Kong”.

Office of the Ombudsman hosts Hackathon - "Cracking the Challenge: 'Connecting children and youth with the Office of the Ombudsman' "
On 16 May 2023, the first Hackathon of its kind was held at the Office of the State Comptroller and Ombudsman in Jerusalem. Students from institutions for higher education throughout the country, and from different disciplines, joined forces in work teams to brainstorm and find a solution to the challenge set before them: How to connect children and youth with the Office of the Ombudsman? How to acquaint them with the work of the Office and encourage them to use the services of the Office, for themselves and for those around them?

The House Business Committee presided over by the Speaker of the House, the Hon. Dr Anglu Farrugia, convened in a special session to discuss the Ombudsplan 2025. The Ombudsplan is a report requesting parliamentary approval for its financial allocation for the upcoming year. In his opening remarks, the Parliamentary Ombudsman, Judge Joseph Zammit McKeon, presented the key themes outlined in the Ombudsplan 2025.
