Ombudsman Fardelli meets South African Public Protector Gcaleka
On Thursday, 14 December 2023, an online meeting of extraordinary significance took place between Dr. Marino Fardelli, President of the National Coordination of Italian Ombudsmen and Ombudsman of the Lazio Region, and Adv. Kholeka Gcaleka, Public Protector of South Africa. Both were recently elected to their respective boards for Europe and Africa within the International Ombudsman Institute.

Leadership Retreat in Bogor: Cooperation of the Commissioners of the Indonesian and Dutch National Ombudsman institutions
On 19 and 20 December 2023, the Commissioners of the Ombudsman of Indonesia and the National Ombudsman of the Netherlands met in Bogor, Indonesia, for a leadership retreat. The topics on the agenda of this meeting were the Venice Principles, institutional transformation, and other topics related to the Grand Design of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia for 2025-2045.

Malgré les promesses d'égalité, de nombreux dysfonctionnements persistent dans le système éducatif français, depuis l'orientation au lycée jusqu'aux conditions d'apprentissage, en passant par l'inclusion des élèves en situation de handicap. Ces difficultés structurelles compromettent l'accès effectif à l'éducation pour tous et appellent des réformes en profondeur pour garantir le droit fondamental de chaque enfant à une scolarité réussie.

La actuación municipal no ha sido suficientemente eficaz en un caso de una familia con dos menores, uno de ellos con una posible discapacidad, a quienes sólo se ofreció pernoctaciones sueltas en alojamientos de servicios sociales, lo que no se ajustaba a sus necesidades. Además, debe informarse debidamente a las personas usuarias de los posibles usos de los documentos que se les haga firmar, y éstos deben tener un redactado claro.
