Police Ombudsman evaluates impact of Body Worn Video
In a special report the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, Marie Anderson, evaluates the impact of the introduction of Body Worn Video (BWV) on complaints about the Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI). In two parts the report provides statistical and qualitative analysis and shows a number of case studies to identify instances when the new technology helped the Ombudsman’s investigations as well as instances when it did not.

Les Etats membres de l’Union européenne ont jusque fin 2021 pour transposer les règles dans leur législation nationale. Le réseau NEIWA, pour Network of European Integrity and Whistleblowing Authorities, regroupe une vingtaine d’institutions publiques européennes chargées de veiller à l’intégrité et à la bonne gouvernance. National Ombudsman presents report on limits to migration detention
The purpose of immigration detention is to ensure that people with no right to remain in the Netherlands are available for deportation. How this should be done has been a matter of debate for some years. In 2015 the Minister of Justice put forward draft legislation proposing a new differentiated regime and in May 2017 the Rotterdam detention centre introduced this new regime in anticipation of the legislation. This prompted the National Ombudsman to investigate the way the new regime works in practice.

El Yuan de Control imputa a un juez, manteniendo la disciplina de los funcionarios públicos
Un juez de la Corte del Distrito de Hsinchu, pidió a su asistente que manejara algunos de sus asuntos privados y le hiciera un masaje de raspado durante el ejercicio de su cargo. Tales acciones violan gravemente la Ley de Jueces y las normas de ética de jueces. El Yuan de Control (YC) aprobó y publicó el caso de imputación contra este juez, remitiendo el caso al Yuan Judicial para su revisión.
