Ombudsman Peter Tyndall wants to see more people complain about services provided by public bodies such as government departments, local authorities and the HSE. Launching his annual report for 2015 the Ombudsman said that complaints can be used to improve the delivery of public services.

The Hon’ble Ombudsman Sindh, Pakistan, Mr. Ajaz Ali Khan, presented the study report on “Issues of Girls Education in Sindh” to the Honourable Chief Minister Sindh on 21 October 2021 at a launching ceremony of research study. The study was sponsored by the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and conducted by Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) on the initiative of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh.

Ombudsman’s message to mark the International Ombudsman Day
Today the 14th Ocober,2021 marks the fourth annual International Ombudsman Day. The second Thursday of every October was first set aside by the American Bar Association in 2018 to recognize the ombudsman institution which over the years has remained hidden and underutilized despite being one of the oldest institutions in existence. The date has since been adopted by the International Ombudsman Association.

Annual Report from the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman
The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) has laid its Annual Report and Accounts for the year 2020-21 before the Scottish Parliament. 2020-21 was a challenging year for the SPSO. While lockdown presented the office with significant challenges, it equally offered opportunities to develop its business and approach.
