El Defensor del Pueblo, Ángel Gabilondo, ha entregado el lunes, el 12 de mayo de 2025, los premios de la XX Edición del Concurso de Dibujo sobre Derechos Humanos Defensor del Pueblo, en un acto celebrado en la sede de la institución. En esta edición han participado 2.720 escolares -1.831 alumnos de Primaria, 839 de Secundaria y 50 Educación Especial- de 191 centros. Han resultado ganadores siete dibujos.

Balance a 11 años de su publicación», organizado por la UNAM, resaltó la importancia de adoptar medidas de protección y salvaguarda en los procedimientos penales.

Ombudsman Toronto handled 4,326 cases in 2025 — a 78 per cent increase since 2020 — stepping in to help people facing unfair treatment by the City of Toronto amid tough economic times and ongoing housing pressures. The 2025 annual report highlights the growing demand for oversight and accountability during a period of increasing social and economic pressures. Over the past year, the office helped an increasing number of residents, community groups and City staff to resolve fairness issues with City services.

The Chancellor of Justice Tuomas Pöysti has submitted his report for 2024 to the Parliament and the Government. In 2024, a total of 1987 complaints were filed with the Chancellor of Justice while 2084 complaints were resolved. In the previous year, the Office of the Chancellor of Justice received 1668 complaints and resolved 1862. In 2024, the Chancellor of Justice continued the efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legality oversight focusing more strongly on structural oversight. A total of 43 in-house initiatives were launched by the Chancellor of Justice in 2024.

The Bahrain Ombudsman, the first Independent Ombudsman in the Region, presented his second Annual Report. In the period from 1 May 2014 to 30 April 2015, the Office received 908 complaints and requests for assistance. This is an increase of 375% compared with the previous year's total of 242.

On 16 April 2025, the Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, announced the completion of a direct investigation operation into the Government’s regulation of occupational safety and health in the construction industry, with 40 major recommendations for improvement made to the Labour Department, the Buildings Department and the Development Bureau.
