2025-10-24The Catalan deputy for children, newly elected president of the ENOC Bureau
The Catalan deputy for the defence of children's and adolescents' rights, Aida C. Rodríguez, has been elected president-elect of the European Network of Ombudspersons for Children (ENOC) for the 2025/2026 term. The election and assumption of office took place during the 29th General Assembly in Bucharest, Romania. Next year, the deputy will assume the presidency of the Bureau and Catalonia will organise and host the 30th ENOC General Assembly.

Denmark’s seven partly closed residential institutions for children and young people should do more to ensure that the institutions have sufficient knowledge of the special rules and legal safeguards that apply when force is used in these institutions. This appears from the Ombudsman’s new thematic report on institutions for children after carrying out monitoring visits to Denmark’s seven partly closed residential institutions and partly closed wards in residential institutions.

En sus esfuerzos por aumentar aún más el impacto regional del IIO, los miembros de la Junta Directiva del IIO decidieron, en su reunión en Rabat en mayo 2025, continuar con el programa de subvenciones regionales para el año de afiliación 2025/2026. Los miembros institucionales con dereches a voto válido que desean solicitar una subvención regional deberán presentar su propuesto de proyecto antes del 30 de septiembre de 2025.
