Federal and state governments are not implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Austria has committed itself to implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. However, neither the federal government nor the federal states are fulfilling this obligation. Ombudsman Achitz therefore calls for a strategy to give people with disabilities equal access to a self-determined life and inclusion.

The Flemish Ombudsman highlights the importance of digital inclusion on radio program
The Flemish Ombudsman Service has been promoting the theme of digital inclusion for years. Digital inclusion means that everyone can participate in the digital society, regardless of age, income, or educational level. Yet recent figures show that 40% of the population is digitally vulnerable. This creates problems for some people when applying for grants, accessing information, and exercising their rights. On Monday, 1 December 2025, Myriam Parys, Flemish Ombudsman, provided insights into these challenges on the Flemish radio program WinWin.

Concluye con éxito la primera formación en medios de comunicación para los miembros francófonos
Del 20 al 22 de octubre de 2025, el IIO organizó la primera formación en medios de comunicación para sus miembros francófonos en colaboración con la reconocida agencia de comunicación británica Media First. Los participantes, procedentes de África, Europa y América del Norte, aprendieron diferentes técnicas para desenvolverse con éxito en una entrevista televisiva o escrita y tuvieron la oportunidad de poner en práctica sus conocimientos teóricos con un periodista y un entrenador de IA desarrollado por Media First.

La síndica alerta de carencias graves en el seguimiento y el acompañamiento de los jóvenes extutelados
El Síndic de Greuges de Cataluña ha hecho público el 26 de septiembre de 2025 un informe que analiza el funcionamiento de los programas de apoyo a la emancipación de los jóvenes extutelados. Se constata una gestión deficitaria de los recursos y una falta de herramientas adecuadas para fiscalizar las ayudas otorgadas. La afectación de los derechos de los jóvenes llevó a la institución a pedir la condonación de su deuda y la Administración lo ha aceptado.
