Earlier this year the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) commissioned an independent panel to carry out a peer review assessment of its value for money, led by Peter Tyndall, Ombudsman for the Republic of Ireland and President of the International Ombudsman Institute. The panel has now published their report, which concluded that following the PHSO’s organisational reforms and the service it offers beyond investigating complaints, the Office offers good value for money for taxpayers.

La institución dirigida por Raúl Lamberto envió oficios al Ministerio de Ambiente, de Producción y la Secretaría de Turismo. Los cotos de caza no existen formalmente en el territorio santafesino, aunque establecimientos pueden inscribirse como “operadores cinegéticos” en caso de “especies exóticas que amenacen a ecosistemas, hábitats o especies nativas”.

Taking the Initiative

21st century family requires appropriate legal framework
The 21st century family no longer relies solely on sexual or blood relations, but on how people choose their co-habitation. Marriage is not the only form of family. Ombudsman Juris Jansons calls for a unified understanding of the concept and protection of the family included in the Constitution (Satversme) and to provide a legal framework for recognizing various forms of family in Latvia.

El defensor del Pueblo de la provincia de Santa Fe, Raúl Lamberto, presentó un balance del funcionamiento de las oficinas móviles a cuatro meses de su puesta en funcionamiento. Contó que las unidades de atención llegaron a 39 localidades de la provincia y barrios de Rosario y Santa Fe. “Nos propusimos ser una institución de cercanía”, explicó.
