The Anit-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) has analysed a total of 52,118 cases of civil complaints for two months after the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Korea, and pushed for measures to mitigate people’s inconvenience in cooperation with relevant ministries and agencies.

2018-03-20Austrian Ombudsman supports Japanese research project
On 20 March 2018 Ombudsman Kräuter welcomed Mr Mahito Shindo, Assistant Professor at the School of Sciences of Waseda University, Tokyo. In a current research project Mr Shindo examines to what extent Ombudsman institutions can ensure the quality of administrative environmental decision makings. The Austrian Ombudsman Board was pleased to contribute its expertise to this academic work.

2017-11-22Ombudsman meets Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights
The Parliamentary Ombudsman, Mr Anthony C Mifsud received the Council of Europe (CoE) Commissioner for Human Rights Mr Nils Muiznieks. The Commissioner was in Malta, for a two day visit, to monitor the human rights protection standards as part of Malta’s obligation as a CoE Member State. Such visits are aimed at providing Council of Europe Member States with guidelines to raise the standards of human rights protection, in accordance with his mandate.
