PAKISTAN | Second Quarter 2026: A Quarter of Growth and Impact

The second quarter of 2026 marked significant progress for the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, with a focus on citizen outreach, institutional capacity building, digital innovation and international cooperation.

The International Internship Programme brought representatives from Mauritius, Türkiye, South Africa and Uganda to Punjab for practical exposure to complaint management, OPMIS, ISO 9001:2015 QMS, Helpline 1050 and the Awami Khidmat Programme. The Office also participated in international training and conferences in Türkiye, Italy and the Philippines, showcasing its experience in digital governance and quality-driven grievance redressal.

Citizen access remained a priority, with Awami Khidmat Mobile Outreach Vans continuing to provide complaint registration and redressal services in underserved areas. Capacity-building initiatives, including the Disposal of Irrigation Cases workshop, further strengthened the quality and effectiveness of complaint handling.

The quarter concluded with the international webinar on Evidence-Based Capacity Building, jointly hosted with AORC and AOMA, which brought together 165 participants from 35 countries. These achievements reflect the Office’s continued commitment to accessible justice, institutional excellence, innovation and citizen-centric service delivery.
