IOI | Honorary Life Membership awarded to Sir Peter Boshier KNZM

Former Chief Ombudsman of New Zealand Peter Boshier has been awarded IOI Honorary Life Membership in recognition of the exceptional contributions and services he rendered to the IOI.

Mr. Boshier – who very recently was also appointed as Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit – has always been a very passionate and dedicated advocate for all aspects of the work of Ombudsman, as well as the values and principles of the IOI.

Regardless of his role – whether as Regional President, Vice-President or Chairperson of the IOI’s By-laws Review Committee – Mr. Boshier always dedicated his work to assisting Ombudsman colleagues and raising awareness about the IOI. His unwavering support and commitment was far beyond his duties and responsibilities and helped shape the structures and strategic direction of the IOI.

The IOI is delighted that Sir Peter will remain in close contact with the international Ombudsman community, which he has inspired so considerably in his 10 years in office.
