PAKISTAN | Capacity Building & Hands-on Training Workshop on “Disposal of Revenue Complaints”

Under the direction and guidance of the Honorable Ombudsman, a series of five hands-on training workshops were organized based on her observations on the earlier two webinars. This was aimed at improvement in disposal of Revenue related complaint at regional offices, with a focus on consistency and the correct application of relevant laws. The first capacity-building hands-on training workshop on “Disposal of Revenue Complaints” was held at the Office of the Ombudsman, Punjab, on 24th March 2026 in Lahore.

The hands-on workshop was conducted with active participation from all the advisors. The discussion revolved around the salient features and key provisions of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1967 for partition procedures. It was followed by case-based discussions that fostered active participation and the exchange of practical insights, leading to a consensus among participants on key outcomes. The workshop was led by Mr. Ahmad Yar Khan (Advisor, R&D Wing). It was attended by advisors from 11 regional offices, including Syed Pervaiz Abbas (Advisor, RO Gujaranwala-II), Muhammad Rafiq (Consultant, RO Gujrat & Wazirabad), Fazal Abbas (Consultant, RO Gujranwala-II & Hafizabad), Muhammad Ashraf (Consultant, LH-1), Syed Amar Shafiq (Advisor, LH-2), Moeen Masood (Advisor, LH-3), Dr. Aamer Ahmed (Advisor LH-4), Ahmed Mustjab Karamat (Advisor, LH-5), Malik Muhammad Aslam (Advisor, RO Sheikhupura), Atta Muhammad Khan (Advisor, RO Sialkot), and Asifa Gull (Consultant, RO Mandi Bahauddin). In their comments, the participants acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the Ombudsman office for organizing a highly engaging, practical, and beneficial workshop on disposal of Revenue related complaints.
