Already twice, the AOB submitted a recommendation to the Federal Government requesting it to ensure an effective and uniform enforcement of the prohibition of discrimination based on ethnic origin. An amendment to the Administrative Procedure Acts now takes into consideration the AOB recommendations.

The Inspectorate of Government, Uganda is happy to inform the international ombudsman community that the institution has got a new Inspector General of Government (IGG) Her Lordship, Lady Justice Irene Mulyagonja Kakooza. Lady Justice Mulyagonja has been a Judge with the Commercial Division of the High Court.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia re-elected Mr Saša Jankovic as Protector of Citizens (Ombudsman). Mr Jankovic was elected for a new five-year term with the consensus of all parliamentary parties.
