2014 marks 30 years of the Office of the Ombudsman in Ireland. As part of its 30th Anniversary, the Ombudsman's Office is co-hosting a conference with the Institute of Public Administration (IPA). “Held to Account: Responsibility and Accountability in the Public Service” takes place on 7 November 2014 and speakers include the Ombudsman, Peter Tyndall and IOI President Dame Beverley A. Wakem.
