Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (NIPSO) Marie Anderson presents the Office’s first Case Digest, providing summaries of a number of recent complaints received by the Office. It reflects the varied nature of the cases NIPSO deals with and the range of outcomes which can follow either an initial assessment or a full investigation. 

The Israeli Ombudsman is handling complaints relating the deletion of comments from social media pages of public officials and the blocking of access to them.

La población del distrito de Chinchao consume agua no tratada por irregularidades en la ejecución de obra de saneamiento. La Defensoría del Pueblo encontró una serie de deficiencias en las obras de captación de agua, la ausencia de un sistema de tratamiento, además de irregularidades en diversos componentes del sistema de alcantarillado.

A un mes del inicio del año escolar 2019, la Defensoría del Pueblo entregó al Ministerio de Educación (MEDUCA) así como a los maestros y profesores agremiados en la Unión de Educadores de Panamá (UNEP) y en la Unión Nacional de Educadores por la Calidad de la Educación Panameña (UNECEP), su Informe sobre el estado físico y operativo de ciento seis (106) escuelas públicas a nivel nacional.

The Catalan Ombudsman participated in the Annual Conference of the European Ombudsman leading a working group on the Regulation on data protection (GDPR). The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the European Parliament, has also addressed issues such as participation in public affairs and social rights.

The Azerbaijani Ombudsman continues public awareness activities in the schools on gender equality and prevention of violence. In the event which was held at one of the schools of Baku city the specialized advisor of the Ombudsman spoke about the main directions of the activities in the field of gender equality and drew the attention of audience to the concerns on effective combating the violence.
