The "Guide to Inclusive Language and the Promotion of Human Rights in the Federal Public Defenders’ Office" was created as a tool to guide civil servants, defenders, outsourced workers and trainees in using the appropriate language for an institution that defends human rights.

In July 2022, the International Mediation Congress was held in the city of Rosario, Argentina. The translation of the publication on the International Mediation Congress has been financed with the help of the Regional Subsidy Program of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI).

Following the International Ombuds Day's primary goals, the Right Honorable Rita Gardiner, OBE, OTCI, the Complaints Commissioner, and Ms. Samadia Lightbourne, the Investigative Officer from the Office of the Complaints Commissioner, visited the twin Islands of North and Middle Caicos.

The Institution of the Mediator of the Kingdom of Morocco will hold a webinar on "The Proposal power of the Mediators and Ombudsman: an important mechanism to support administrative and legal reform" on Wednesday, 15 November 2023 from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm (GMT+1). This webinar is mainly financed by the International Ombudsman Institute under the IOI Regional Subsidy Programme. 

IOI President Chris Field PSM was deeply honoured this week to provide an opening speech to an international conference on the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Ombudsman of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Conference was attended by a number of Ambassadors, senior dignitaries from the Kingdom of Bahrain and Ombudsman and human rights commissioners.
