AORC | Webinar on Handling Gender-Based Violence and Discrimination Complaints takes place on 18 August 2026

Join the African Ombudsman Research Centre, the research and training arm of the African Ombudsman and Mediators' Association (AOMA), for their Webinar uner the theme Handling Gender-based violence and Discrimination.

Hosted by the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in partnership with the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI), this international webinar in celebration of the South African Women's Month will explore 

✔Rights-based legal and policy frameworks for handling gender-based violence and discrimination complaints.
✔ Practical Ombudsman investigation methodologies and international good practices.
✔ Trauma-informed and survivor-centred complaint handling that protects dignity and strengthens public confidence.
✔ Institutional experiences and practical lessons for advancing accountability and systemic reform.
